Can we tour before booking?
Yes! You're welcome to bring your own alcohol with proof of liability insurance and The CoLab Lakewood LLC listed as an additional insured. Note that The Grand Affair includes a fully licensed bartender to serve your guests.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
While we have an excellent list of vendors included in The Grand Affair and All-Inclusive Event packages, all other events are welcome to bring in outside vendors with prior approval.
Do you allow outside caterers & Vendors?
Yes! We have a small lot behind the building, ideal for VIP guests and those with mobility impairments. Metered street parking is available on Madison Ave. (free after 6pm weekdays + all weekend) and side street parking is always free.

Space Rental bookings include self-guided entry using our Smart Lock system. All-Inclusive Events include an on-site Event Concierge and can be added to space rentals for an additional fee.
Will a team member be on-site for my event?
Yes! Both packages include an event planner & on-site coordinator to assist with your event.
Do you offer a coordinator?
Yes — and it’s intentional. Guests typically arrive in The Lounge first, giving them time to settle in and giving you private space before the ceremony. It creates a relaxed, welcoming start rather than a “sit and wait” moment.
CAN THE GUESTS ARRIVE BEFORE THE CEREMONY?
With The Intimate Gathering, your ceremony flows directly into cocktails and mingling across both spaces, with the layout remaining the same throughout the event. With The Grand Affair, guests gather in The Lounge for cocktail hour while our team prepares The Parlour for a seated dinner reception.

What is the maximum capacity?
Weddings
To officially reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a signed contract and a 25% booking retainer. Once both are received, your date is locked in and we’ll start planning with you!
How do I reserve my date?
Our All-Inclusive package includes an Event Concierge from start to finish to assist with your event.
Non-package hosts can add an Event Concierge ($180 for a 6-hour booking) to help with venue-related details like placing personal items, setting tables, clearing plates, and answering questions. Food service details still need to be managed by your caterer.
Do you offer a coordinator?
Yes — additional hours can be added beyond your 6-hour minimum, based on availability, at $200 per hour. For Saturday bookings: hours can be added before an AM booking or after a PM booking (there are no bookings between 2–4pm on Saturdays). For all other days, you may add time as needed.
Can we add additional rental hours?
The Parlour & The Lounge are designed to host up to 80 guests across the full 1,800 square foot venue. Multiple seating styles and gathering zones are included and invite seamless movement between spaces.
What is the maximum capacity?
Events/Space Rental
To officially reserve your date, we require a signed contract and a 50% deposit. Once both are received, your date is confirmed on our calendar, and we’ll begin working with you to plan your layout around 2-3 weeks before your event.
How do I reserve my date?
To keep the space beautiful for everyone: items can’t be attached to walls or ceilings, and glitter/confetti aren’t allowed (even inside balloons). Open flames aren’t permitted, with limited catering exceptions.
Are there any decor restrictions?
With wedding packages and all-inclusive events, we handle standard cleanup. For space rentals, clients are responsible for a few simple reset items. View the full cleaning policies for details.
